Alternative names for Recycled base oil types
To specify the Recycle Base Oil or better saying “Recycled Base Oil” type, Some buyers may use SN categories in inquiries but this is inaccurate and a common mistake that can slow down sales procedures. Finally, we may have to ask them to use flash point categories.
To clarify, SN which stands for Solvent Neutral refers to how Base Oil is produced. This actually refers procedure of production of Group I base oil from crude oil or lube-cut that is treated with Solvent and the result will be called Virgin Base Oil (VBO).
Used oil refining is not a solvent-treated procedure so it is wrong to use SN in naming recycle-based oil but since this is a general mistake in the worldwide market for the convenience of our buyers we put a table for your reference

KV100 means Kinematic Viscosity at 100 Centigrade degrees in centistokes (cSt)
SN 150 Recycled
To clarify, it refers to KV100 between 5 – 5.5. For instance, it can be found on our Flash 180 category with customization.
SN 300 Recycled
To clarify, this refers to KV100 between 6.5 – 8 . For instance, it is common on our Flash 180 and Flash 190 category.
SN 350 Recycled
To clarify, This refers to KV100 between 7.5 – 9. For instance, it is common on our Flash 190 and Flash 200 category.
Recycle Base Oil SN 500
To clarify, it refers to KV100 between 9-11. For instance, it can be found on our Flash 200 and common on higher categories.
Recycle Base Oil SN 650
This refers to KV100 between 10.5-13 or more. As used oils that are coming to factories are automatic, it is very hard to produce.

Specifications differentiator
In the production of Recycle Base Oil, the Factory will boil the used oil and evaporate water and lighter hydrocarbons in the first step therefore the more they boil or the more the temperature goes will evaporate more light hydrocarbons. Whatever remains in the boiler will have almost the same flash point as the final product however this is a black material that shall be refined in color and odor thru other steps. More flash point generally increases Viscosity, Density but lowers the odor.

Color
Recycled Base Oil color increases by oxidation happening due to temperature changes or for some time passing from its freshness however it is inevitable. This change will be high for some plants which we call the unreliable manufacturer and do not deal with. it is due to their production procedure and raw materials they use.
MA Trading recycled base oils color has never changed more than 0.5 from the factory sample till it was delivered to the customer at POD.
This is because we do not sacrifice quality for more profit.

The Visual Appearance of all grades of Recycle Base Oils is bright and clear.
Water content
Water content is 500PPM (Trace) on the test method of ASTM D95 for all grades.
Odor
Generally, the Odor of higher flash points is much lesser but even on the highest flash points, a real expert can realize that it is not virgin base oil although it might be odorless to many people. In general, when regular people can not detect the odor it will be called odorless. We can provide this almost odorless RcBO on lower flash points even, but at a slightly higher price.
No matter what the seller says, since Iranian Recycled Base Oils are more or less acid treated, they can not be as odorless as Virgin Base Oil but they can be very similar with longer steam treatment.
In addition, During the current long transit time, the odor of RcBO would decrease. Hence most buyers of lower flash RcBO do not care about odor because they use for fuel production. But like other specifications, if u have concerns about odor for your use, just tell us in your inquiry. We will take care of it.

Factory Tankers
There can be a big difference between what is inside the tanker of the factory or the best sample they have in their hands therefore we transparently tell our customers which stage sample is taken from, relying on basis of our presence in the factory. We always prefer to take samples from Tankers because it is the final product of the factory and can have minimal changes but If all or most cargo is already produced.
Otherwise, we have to take samples on other stages like Filter Samples or previous productions. Since we were in touch with manufacturers we can have an almost accurate result of how much sample is reliable.
Cargo dispatch
When cargo is fully produced we attend the cargo departure from the factory and take samples from what is loaded on the trucks and compare them with our buying stage samples. Our buyers will receive a video in this stage too that shows them both the quality and timeline of our delivery.
Loading to containers
Some cargoes may change in color with a single temperature shock only on the other hand some unreliable trucks would swap bad cargo with good cargo that our manufacturers have loaded. Besides using reliable truck owners and best manufacturers only, when cargo arrives at the port of loading, our agent will send videos of cargo stating container numbers and filled goods. this, Not only assures delivery status but will show cargo quality, delivery time, and proper stuffing to our buyers.
